Missions Emphasis Week

Ello all. I have now been home(San Francisco Bay Area) for almost 2 weeks. It has been good to be home to catch up with friends and family. It has also been good to minister again to various people who need spiritual encourgaement, or Jesus in their lives.
My mentor, Tom Wright, has been in town since December 1st, and he has been speaking daily at Alma Heights' Mission Emphasis week. We are currently half way through the week, and today's planned message got bumped. The Lord had other plans. Instead my friend Richard shared scripture exhorting the students to not be lukewarm for the Lord. To put away their spiritual apathy, and passionately run the race that the Lord has set for them, and to be filled with love and respect for their teachers and classmates. Towards the end of chapel, two thirds of the kids stood to affirm that the Lord had been speaking to their hearts and they wanted this for themselves. Praise the Lord! Thank you to all, spread out across the US, who have been praying for them.
I have been teaching two sophmore Bible classes here and we are going through the early chapters of the book of Acts and it has been going well. Friday we will be having a gathering of local pastors and youth pastors over lunch to introduce to them OMS and let them know about the various missions trips that we are planning for next summer.
